About the Haus

The Haus of Performing Arts – Licensed, Non-Profit School Age Child Care

Program Overview: The Haus of Performing Arts is a specialized afterschool program located at 350 East 147th, Bronx, NY 10455, serving children aged 6-13. Approved by the Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS), our program uniquely combines academic support with daily classes in acting, dance, and vocal training.

Innovative Methodology: Our program is distinguished by its 360-degree approach to teaching the performing arts. Beyond honing technical skills, we immerse students in the commercial aspects and behind-the-scenes dynamics of the industry. Our objective is to equip children with a broad range of skills, including cooperative learning, team building, and the ability to create with purpose and intention.

Instructional Approach and Skill Development: At the Haus of Performing Arts, our instructional approach is grounded in Bloom’s Taxonomy, ensuring that we not only nurture creative talents but also reinforce core educational knowledge. We focus on guiding students through the stages of learning—from understanding and applying concepts to analyzing and creating original works. This method supports cognitive development while integrating artistic expression, ensuring that students gain a comprehensive understanding of both academic and creative disciplines.

Family Support: Recognizing the needs of our community, we provide assistance and resources to parents who are interested in our program but may not yet have a childcare voucher. We are committed to making our program accessible to all families.

Notable Achievements: Our students have participated in notable collaborations with esteemed brands such as Gucci, Coty, and INC, and have appeared in dance music videos and movies as extras. Recently, they had the opportunity to perform with Lacoste and Venus Williams during New York Fashion Week 2023.

Creative Leadership: Our creative board is composed of our dedicated parents, independent artists, and current Broadway professionals who bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the program. Their involvement ensures that our students receive guidance and mentorship from industry leaders, enriching their learning experience.
